In tro duc tion

Introduction in·tro·duc·tion (n): explanatory section at beginning: a section at the beginning of a book or other piece of writing that summarizes what it is about or sets the scene. Also, something I am apparently not good at. I stared at this page while ideas ran through my head for a decent amount of time before I realized this, so lets just state the obvious. This is my blog. I am a full time student with a family and a small, beautiful (to me), old home.  It was built in the 1940s and we are actually only the second owners of this home.  What does that mean for us? Lots of work.  For starters, our house has a bit of a forest on the outside.

See what I mean?
This should not be the case since we actually live in a city and have a fairly small yard.  As for the inside, it isn't too shabby, but could use some personal touches to make it ours.  I have learned that somehow, there is always something that needs fixed or touched up and my list is growing.  When my parents told me "houses can be a lot of work," I didn't think they meant I would be patching multiple holes in the plaster that happen to be feet in length.  I will be documenting our continuing house transformation and I hope to hear and share experiences with all of you!
